Golf de Pals renews its visual identity

28.04.2022

Golf de Pals, the oldest golf course on the Costa Brava with over 50 years of history, has decided to renew its brand identity, seeking simplicity and highlighting the most emblematic and representative symbol of the golf course, the century-old Mediterranean pines that can be found throughout the course.

The Golf de Pals was built in the middle of the Arenals de Mar estate, on dunes covered by an immense pine forest planted seventy years ago. After two years of work under the project and direction of British designer Fred Hawtree, the first 9 holes of Golf de Pals were opened in the summer of 1966. In 1970, the 18 holes were officially inaugurated with the celebration of the Spanish International Amateur Championship, only two years later Golf de Pals hosted the Spanish Open, the first event of the PGA Professional Tour in Europe, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
During more than 50 years of history, Golf de Pals has hosted important professional and amateur golf tournaments under the watchful eye of its century-old pines, which is why we wanted these century-old Mediterranean pines to be the symbol of our identity.

We leave aside the superfluous and we keep to the essentials.
